E & C's "Date Night" Engagement Photoshoot | The Science Museum of Virginia, Richmond VA

When E showed up to our session, Pinterest board in hand and a dream of engagement photos that felt like a date, I knew we were in for something special. Rather than focusing on traditional poses, we set out to capture them simply enjoying time together—laughing, playing, and making memories. After all, the best photos happen when couples are truly in the moment with each other.

So, that’s exactly what we did! We curated an afternoon full of fun and spontaneity. E & C raced each other (C took the win!), explored the Speed Through Time exhibit, and challenged themselves to see how small of pretzels they could fold into. Every moment was filled with laughter, movement, and pure joy, making their session feel less like a photoshoot and more like an experience.

This is what I love most about engagement sessions—creating a space where couples can be themselves, soak in the excitement of their love, and walk away not only with beautiful photos but with real, cherished memories. And for E & C, this session was just that—a playful, love-filled afternoon captured in time.

Another thing I love about the Science Museum of Virginia is that they do not have an additional photo fee except for their normal entrance fee. That makes it an accessible space for couples to have a photoshoot, and also spend the rest of the day having a date!
