In the thick of wedding season, writing about my adventures often takes a backseat to making sure my clients get their galleries back on time. But I couldn’t let the year close without sharing Kristi and Brandy’s absolutely breathtaking Halloween elopement at Hollywood Cemetery.
Taking place at sunset at the Palmer Chapel overlooking the river, their intimate ceremony was nothing short of magical. Joined only by Kristi’s children and a few close family members, Kristi and Brandy exchanged vows in a setting that was as romantic as it was unique. Officiated by a dear friend, the ceremony was personal, heartfelt, and completely them.
Moody Halloween clouds loomed ominously for most of the day, hinting at rain, but just in time for their vows, the sky cleared to reveal a brilliant orange and blue sunset. It was the kind of sky you only get on special evenings, casting the perfect glow over their celestial and gothic-themed elopement.
The timing of their celebration couldn’t have been better—Central Virginia’s fall foliage usually peaks a week before Halloween, but this year, the vibrant reds and oranges of the maples lingered, creating a stunning natural backdrop. The combination of gothic elegance, celestial vibes, and autumn’s fiery beauty made every moment feel like it belonged in a storybook.
Kristi and Brandy’s elopement was a testament to how intimate weddings can be just as grand and meaningful as larger celebrations. The love between them, the presence of their closest loved ones, and the unforgettable setting came together to create a day that was purely magical.
Congratulations, Kristi and Brandy, on your incredible elopement.
Thank you for letting me be a part of such a special moment. Here’s to a lifetime of love, adventure, and stunning sunsets! 🌙🖤
