Libbie Hill Park is one of Richmond’s most iconic engagement photography spots, known for its breathtaking city views and historic charm. It’s no surprise that Maddie and Tyler chose this beautiful location for their elopement photos—it was the perfect setting to capture their love story against the golden hues of fall.
Maddie and Tyler have been together forever, and when they decided it was finally time to tie the knot, I couldn’t have been more thrilled to be their Richmond engagement photographer. Fun fact: Maddie and Tyler were actually my neighbors when I first moved to the city! Getting that inquiry from Maddie made my entire day. These two were some of the first new friends my wife and I made in Richmond, and we’ve shared everything from a tacky lights tour (a must-do during the holidays!) to plenty of hangouts with their adorable pups.
For their Richmond elopement photoshoot, we strolled through Libbie Hill Park on an unseasonably warm fall day, just as the golden leaves of the Ginkgo trees started blanketing the ground. The sunlight danced between the trees, creating the most magical glow—nature’s way of celebrating Maddie and Tyler, I think! This historic Richmond park is such a dream for engagement and elopement sessions, offering stunning skyline views, cobblestone streets, and picturesque walking paths.
